The DPE (energy performance certificate) has been required since July 2022, the risk and pollution status remains mandatory depending on the zone, the lead diagnostic applies to any pre-1949 building, and the electrical diagnostic is required for any installation over 15 years old. Climate & Resilience law — 2022 DPE

Since July 2022, the DPE also applies to furnished tourism rentals. G-rated properties have been banned from rental since 2025, F will be in 2028, E in 2034. Check your class before committing to a season.

Order of August 27, 1987 — Charge disclosure

Any rebilling of charges (including energy) must be announced before booking, contractualized in writing, and justified by a statement. Failure to disclose: 1,500 EUR fine (individual), 7,500 EUR (legal entity).
